Responsibilities
- Receive, log, track, and distribute project-related documents, including drawings, specifications, contracts, permits, reports, and other important documents.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date versions of documents and ensure that the latest revisions are accessible to the appropriate teams.
- Facilitate the efficient retrieval of documents for project teams, contractors, and clients, ensuring timely access to the required information.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of project documents to ensure compliance with quality standards, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with project teams, engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to gather and distribute necessary documentation, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Utilize document management software or systems to streamline the document control process, including creating and maintaining databases, workflows, and electronic filing systems.
Certifications and Qualification
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant field, such as construction management, engineering, or business administration.
- Prior experience in document control or a similar administrative role within the construction industry is highly valued.
- Proficiency in document control software, such as Autodesk BIM 360, Aconex, Procore, or SharePoint. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is also essential.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail to maintain accurate and error-free documentation.
- Industry certifications such as Certified Document Controller (CDC) or Certified Construction Document Technician (CCDT) are advantageous and demonstrate expertise in the field.
